A system administrator can view the login history of a user by right-clicking the user and selecting View Login History. This action opens the View Login History window, which lists successful and unsuccessful attempts to access Advisor or Statement Analyzer. The history of successful and unsuccessful logins for a user will be purged from the system after 90 days using the following logic:
When a valid user logs in to a valid financial institution successfully, the system will check to see if there are any log records for that user older than 90 days. If there are, those older records will be deleted. This way, we will have at most 90 days of history for each user.
Since the purging of outdated records only happens on successful user login, you could have a user that worked at the bank for 85 days, and their history will always be available because the delete function will not be triggered. You could also have a user who still works for the financial institution but has not logged on to Advisor for a long period of time. The login history for this user will display the last 90 days of login history before the period of not logging on.
System administrators can manually purge the login history for a user by right-clicking the user record on the Users dialog box and then selecting Delete Login History. This feature allows a system administrator to remove the login history for a user who no longer works at the financial institution.
When login history is deleted, an entry is made to the audit history for the user record noting this action.
Login history is also deleted for a user when that user is deactivated (access to all modules is turned off on the user record). As Advisor deactivates the user, the system administrator is asked if he or she wants to delete the user’s login history.
