Cell Memo (Projection) Dialog Box

See Also...

Cell memos are useful for making detailed notes about a specific entry. The Cell Memo dialog box is where you can add new comments or edit existing comments to the memo associated with a cell in a projection.

The option to enter a memo formula is not applicable as it is with the statement cell memo; projections don't allow users to enter formulas for calculating dollar values for the cells. However, you can use the formula assumption instead. See About Projections for more details on assumption methods.

Note: The Cell Memo feature is not available for subtotal lines.

Getting to This Dialog Box

To access the projection cell memo, you must be in the projection page. From there, right-click a data cell and choose Cell Memo from the menu that appears, which brings up the Cell Memo dialog box.

Using This Dialog Box

  1. Add your own notes specific to the cell in the Memo field.

  2. If you want the cell memo to be shared externally, check the External Memo check box.
